Originally from Bulgaria, my grandmother came from a pure blood Crimean Tatar family. My nan was born in Sofia and lived there with her family until she married my granddad. My granddad was in the army and had to immigrate to Istanbul as part of his duty. In the village, my nan started a small milk sales business. She used to look after cows in Bulgaria, so she wanted to continue the same life after moving. Her first cow was named 'Mine', which means petal in English. Her life revolved around a cow called mine. I spent my summer holidays in this village called Ciftlikkoy every year. Nan, Mine, and Mine's son Alpaslan became best friends. I joined the team. In some ways, I was like Heidi at one point in my life, but instead of a grandad, I had an excellent nan. Here is where my story began. This village taught me so many things.
I grew up helping my grandmother milk cows, care for honeybee hives, pick olives from olive trees, collect wild herbs to use in olive oil, and make olive oil soap. In some cases we did all things with our neighbors, sharing our knowledge and completing jobs in a short amount of time. My Nan made her own skincare products in 1985 using our milk, olive oil, honey, beeswax, tallow and herbs. Every natural goodness I learned from my nan was used on our skin for a reason. Tallow and honey moisturize dry skin and repair cracked lips. Olive oil sooth skin like rush.
I am the mother of an autistic daughter. Today, I make my family these natural products.. As for Melissa's health, I only use natural and organic ingredients, following the teachings of my grandmother, who inspired me to share the knowledge and experience of our ancestral love of natural organic skincare.

The properties of vetiver oil have been suggested to be beneficial for skin care, especially for sensitive and aging skin.
According to research, it helps normalize oily skin and clear acne by balancing the activity of sebaceous glands.
Additionally, it is claimed to stimulate the renewal of skin and strengthen connective tissue, thereby improving the healing of mature, irritated and inflamed skins.
Also, vetiver oil is known to replenish moisture to dehydrated and dry skin and even to prevent stretch marks. (Burger et al., 2017)
