My grandmother was a Crimean Tatar born in Sofia, Bulgaria. After marrying my grandfather, an army officer, she moved with him to Istanbul, Türkiye. In their new village, Çiftlikköy, she started a small milk business. Having cared for cows back in Sofia, she continued the same life there. Her first cow, named Mine (“petal”), became the center of her days, and I spent every summer with Nan, Mine, and Mine’s calf, Alpaslan. In many ways I felt like Heidi—only I had an extraordinary grandmother instead of a grandfather. That village is where my story truly began.
I grew up helping Nan milk cows, tend honeybee hives, pick olives, gather wild herbs, infuse oils, and make olive oil soap. Often our neighbors joined in, sharing knowledge and finishing the work together. As early as 1985, Nan made her own skincare from our milk, olive oil, honey, beeswax, tallow, and herbs. Everything she taught me had a purpose: tallow and honey to moisturise dry skin, olive oil to soothe rashes, sunflower oil to ease eczema. These were the ancient, natural remedies I was raised with.
I’m a biologist with a British degree, and my scientific background combined with my ancestral traditions gives me a deep understanding of natural remedies. As a mother, I make these natural products for my family, using only organic ingredients. Inspired by my grandmother, I’m committed to sharing our heritage of natural, organic skincare.

Imagine picking up a product and recognising every ingredient. That’s our goal. Skincare shouldn’t be confusing or full of hard-to-read chemicals — just real, natural ingredients your skin can use. Our labels are clear and transparent, listing only pure and nourishing essentials.

The properties of vetiver oil have been suggested to be beneficial for skin care, especially for sensitive and aging skin.
According to research, it helps normalize oily skin and clear acne by balancing the activity of sebaceous glands.
Additionally, it is claimed to stimulate the renewal of skin and strengthen connective tissue, thereby improving the healing of mature, irritated and inflamed skins.
Also, vetiver oil is known to replenish moisture to dehydrated and dry skin and even to prevent stretch marks. (Burger et al., 2017)
